Digital information systems are widely used to transact business matters each and every day in the modern business world. The most widely used office tools are the Microsoft Office suite, but there are other contenders worth giving a try. Yes, there are substantial contenders to the MS Office suite!
OpenOffice is just the contender for the MS Office set of applications to act as business solutions. It is an open source development software, meaning that it is absolutely free to use, distribute, and modify. Plus, it has the feature of importing presentations into Flash! Yes, and with this feature, it would be easier for business matters transacted through visuall means such as equal visual presentations done with Flash and presented using the Open Office set of
office applications.
Impress. This is the application counterpart of the PowerPoint program in the MS Office suite of office applications. It is freely available in the Open Office suite. This program is used to export Flash presentations. It could even export PowerPoint presentations as well! But, keep in mind that the level of exportation from Flash presentations to this program is limited to simple and basic Flash presentations. This is because complex Flash presentations are not yet supported by this application. But, an upside to this is that the Open Office suite can be freely downloaded, is free to use, and platform flexible. What I meant in saying platform dependent is that it could work on all platforms, either Microsoft Windows, Mac OSX, Linux, etc.
