Flash movies drive me to the kooky hole. I mean, my first encounter with a flash movie was when I visited my Dad's office when I was a kid and got entranced with the gurgling bubbles of a nondescript blue aquarium. Ooops, that is not all a flash movie, but the way the bubbles formed repeatedly hypnotized me till I fell asleep. Today, these bubbles big and small just remind me of flash banners. Each time I work, I get stumped. How to animate these hypnotic flash banners is what makes me stay awake these days.
Sunday, May 13. 2007
It's not that flash banners are difficult to make. If you're not gifted, you can certainly seek the help of professional movie makers such as Bigshot. Here's a small gallery of their sample flash banners: http://www.bigshotmedia.com/banners/skyscraper_gallery.php. I know, sometimes Big Media mixes the odd with the irritating to keep people from falling asleep. The purpose of flash banner is to wake us up -- as a form of advertisement, and as a form of psychological hook. The right flash banner shown at the right customer can make an immense difference.
Saturday, May 12. 2007
Bigshot also offers a User Guide as well as bits of tutorials for those who wish to learn to create flash banners and even incorporate them in their Powerpoint presentations. The cool bit here, is that I found a segment in the Bigshot tutorial on how to make these hypnotic bubbles in the flash banner. Big deal? Wait till you get to learn it. The tutorial includes cropping a flash movie, importing swf files into Frontpage and Powerpoint, looping, creating onion skin , renaming items in the Library, as well as animating the bubble. The 'bubble' is my starting point. When I learn how to tween this, I can program anything on Flash.

In creating Flash Movies, incorporating multipart image linkings and sounds are among the primary considerations in coming with a fancy and well customized Flash movie. You see, including or playing sounds in your Flash movies is a funky aspect of Flash. The only disadvantage, however, is that sound files can take up an awful number of space. With the help of numerous tutorials available in the Internet or through various published reference Flash materials, learning Flash sound tricks can be very easy.
Monday, May 7. 2007
The sound features of Flash uses a tool called as sample rate. The key point of the tool is when the the sample rate is low, the condition of the file size is also low. If you prefer to adjust the rate of a particular sound, say for instance, into an MP3 file, you need t go to the dialog box for Publish Settings. There you need to choose the File menu, then the Publish Settings. By clicking on the Set button, you will be able to change the compression and rate of the sounds.
Sunday, May 6. 2007
To be able to play great sounds, one noted technique would be the utilization of loops. With such sound tool, you will be able to loop and cut a small or big section of a sound from its original. Dance tones are mostly preferred by web movie makers since the nature is very repetitive. If you prefer a BC#4 sound, you can try selecting the frame of the sound you like to cut or loop, then open the properties for frame dialog box.

Of course, web design corporations and professional web designers are promoting the use of Flash programs to those people who are up to learn the basics of web design techniques. They use their professional stand or status to make their convincing more powerful. As for me, I do believe that Flash is one of the best web designing softwares available to hundreds of aspiring or experienced web developers. With Flash, I learned to create a couple of cool animations, great effects, and to embed Flash elements in some of my websites.

As I was browsing for more Flash tricks on the net yesterday, I came across an article stating why web designers should not resort to Flash softwares. The author explained that Flash is a waste of time, because downloading Flash sites is very time consuming. The annoying flash designed tricks of various Flash sites, according to the author, are also irritating. In addition, the author explained that most Internet users do not have Flash plug-ins in their computers. Without plug-ins, then Flash sites are not possible for viewing and utilizing.
Thursday, May 3. 2007
Various reactions erupted from many Internet users, most especially those who are very loyal in using Flash softwares. Most reactions state that the person who wrote such nonsense probably doesn't know how to use the programs appropriately. Someone also commented that the author's points are based on the perspective of a person who makes poor Flash websites. I can say that I really had a good laugh reading the article, since I think it was indeed crap and the comments and reactions were downright defensive.

The pages of most internet sites these days have a ton of visually appealing graphics and features that resemble a good Flash movie. Well, some internet sites are actually dedicated to Flash animations, and such sites are called Flash sites. But usually, these Flash programmers create a tweak that just isn't that useful. If you're talking about those Flash objects that stick with the damn mouse pointer everytime the pointer passes through a Flash animation window, chances are you're thinking that this wouldn't be a useful thing to add on the features of your Flash animation!
Tuesday, May 1. 2007
Flash animations are very entertaining, especially if it is integrated on the pages of your internet site. But there are all sorts of stupid tricks that most of these Flash programmers can't live without! One such stupid Flash trick is creating objects that tend to lock itself on the mouse pointer's tail. This usually happens if your actual mouse pointer passes on a functional area of any Flash animation done with this coding tactic. One advice for future Flash animators and programmers: this would just piss the shit off your Flash animation's viewers!
Monday, April 30. 2007
Mouse trails can easily be done on the coding of any animation or program created with Flash. But a stupid thing to do on your Flash creations would be to include codes that make certain objects stick with the mouse pointer's tail. This could generally be irritating, for the objects actually block a good and respectable view of what you are planning to click on, you know. With this said, you should never do this trick on your Flash creations. That is, if you don't have any other purpose than to piss off the viewers of your damn Flash creations!
Sunday, April 29. 2007
When it comes to visual appeal on the pages of an internet site, most web developers and designers use functional Flash to do the job. But since new mobile phones can now allow its users information access on cyberspace, web development with Flash just came to the point of it being a good marketing tool. This is why most companies of the world are now looking at Flash advertisements on the internet. Yes, they now use Flash on pop-up advertisements.
Saturday, April 28. 2007
Flash and advertisements on cyberspace are now an effective solution for those companies who are looking at ways and means to add a little dimension to their pop-up ads. This is because with Flash, interoperability and compatibility issues are very rare to come by with most platforms. That's right, Flash-programmed pop-ups can be viewed on all types of computing machines that are connected to cyberspace. But a Flash programmer could even tweak the pop-ups for it to load not on a separate internet browser window, but on the same damn window!
Friday, April 27. 2007
Flash programming can be used to produce visually appealing pop-up advertisements to load on the same internet browser window. This could be rather annoying for most internet users, but companies see this as the next best thing since spam! This is because with pop-up ads that load on different internet browser windows, all the internet surfers have to do is close the damn window. But with this trick, advertisements could be seen over the actual contents the site's viewers are navigating through! Yes, the pop-ups are on a different layer, yet on the same damn window.
Thursday, April 26. 2007
No, you can't die from dizziness, you know, or even blindness. That is, if you don't fall out the window or something. But I think rapidly zooming a damn scene on your Flash animations in and out would literally put your name as the top dweeb on the parent's hit-lists of people having no damn reason whatsofuckin' ever to live! This is because doing so could damage the eyesight of the kids who love your Flash creations, you fool! Just try to slow it down, and don't overdo it, I tell you.
Wednesday, April 25. 2007
You see, fast zooms of any of your Flash creations wouldn't be a boost on your status as a damn good Flash programmer. This is because overdoing this trick could end you up with a no good game or animation at all! That's right, and this is because a good Flash animation doesn't have any scene that can't be viewed properly, you know. So if you know better, you should never do such a trick on any of your Flash creations. Just try to optimize your Flash codes for interoperability on all machines, not to mention all modern digital platforms. This would be better than making your Flash animation's viewers all crazy and shit with dizziness.
Tuesday, April 24. 2007
But it would be best if you could use this trick rather purposefully, you know. Slow zooms, with just the right timing, could create wonders on your Flash game or Flash creation. Just try to be as creative as possible in doing this trick. After all, you shouldn't be a damn Flash programmer if you've got no sort of creativity whatsoever! I've seen this done on several Flash animations, and lots of it are products of killer creativity. But for the ones that made me so damn dizzy I almost fell from my fuckin' chair: die, you bunch of loser programmers! That has been on my prayers for the past few months or so, you know.
Monday, April 23. 2007
With fast and affordable internet connections, people are playing all types of online games on the world wide web. The most playable game would be one that was programmed using Flash, and it is playable even on most low-end machines. This is great since it would evidently reach the largest number of gamers on the planet. So, here's among the most stupid things to do in a Flash game, yet it is quite as fun as it is stupid! This is about hiding a damn button in a Flash game, or any Flash creation for that matter!
Sunday, April 22. 2007
You see, with Flash programming, you could literally turn any damn element into an actual button. Yes, and this could either work wonders for a Flash game, or frustrate the shit out of your Flash creation's users! Buttons play an integral part on a Flash game, and you could hide away any button you like if it's among the game features of your damn Flash game. But if you're creating Flash animations, you shouldn't do this, you know. Why? Well, that's because you're likely to end up with more hatemails than Eminem!
Saturday, April 21. 2007
Thus, you should learn creative concepts before actually trying to hide a damn button on your Flash game. No, you don't go around your game blindfolded, and try to randomly choose a fuckin' element to set as a button then hide, you know. Utterly useless! What you should do is to properly integrate hidden buttons within the context of your Flash game. For instance, a mystery and puzzle game would generally have lots of this, right?
